POSITIVELY PELVIC
NICOL RANGER
Physiotherapist
Nicol qualified as a physiotherapist in 1995 from the University of Northumbria in Newcastle, UK. She has worked as a women's health physiotherapist since 1997.

Moving to New Zealand in 2000, Nicol began her NZ-based career in Rotorua—in both private and public practice. Between 2004 and 2019, Nicol worked as a Senior Pelvic Health Physiotherapist for National Women's Health at Auckland City Hospital. Nicol also studied Western Acupuncture at AUT, qualifying in 2003.

Nicol maintains up-to-date, evidence-based practices by attending regular courses and conferences. She is a member of the New Zealand Physiotherapy Society and their special interest group for Pelvic, Women's, and Men's Health.

Nicol teaches 'Physiotherapy for Incontinence' at Auckland Medical School.

Nicol has been invited to present at two conferences, speaking about physiotherapy for perineal trauma and physiotherapy for chronic pelvic pain. Nicol is hugely passionate about this area of physiotherapy, and her goal is to empower women and men to effectively self-manage their pelvic health.

Outside of physiotherapy, Nicol is married and has two children. She enjoys mountain biking, yoga, and exploring New Zealand's beautiful outdoors.
